How I manage homeschooling with children across such a broad age range (10, 6, 4, 2 and 4 months) is probably the most common question I am asked. Larry likes to mix things up a bit with our family devotions, and we’re changing things up again! It’s a very exciting transition though, and very homeschooly - if there’s such a word! We’ve read through all of Genesis and Exodus over the past half-year, dug around in a story bible, drawn lots of pictures, and now we’re going to start again in the creation week with 106 Days of Creation Studies from Simply Charlotte Mason. I recently reviewed this title at Eclectic Homeschool Online here .

It’s hot here. Is that an understatement for relentless 100° afternoons and night time “lows” of 80°? When the afternoons are 100° - 105° that is not the time for kids to be out bike riding and roller blading and scootering. They’ll either have a heat stroke or just sit around on the porch.
