Homeschooling and Child Training
The Squid had some trouble narrowing down his choice of identity today. He is a Frog-Cowboy-Pirate. The Princess, on the other hand, is completely comfy with her identity as, um, The Princess. Did any of y’all get in on the, now defunct, Omaha Steaks burger patties 8 for $2 deal? This thing disappeared pretty quick after I ShareThis
Home Spun strips #47-49
Autumn is becoming our season of interruption. Last year my oldest was making her Confirmation and my son was preparing for his black belt test. This year is my youngest child’s first “official” homeschooling year, we had a funeral the beginning of October and now we are trying to find a home for a stray cat (we already have four cats, so we can’t keep her). And then there are the colds and viruses. Sickness happens, and homeschoolers are not immune.
The Future of Homeschooling?
It seems that back in the early 1960’s someone already was quite sure that we’d be using computers as a source of learning. Autumn Is:
Hi, friends! I’m trying to be gentle with myself about my lack of posting around here, but of course I’m feeling guilty about being so absent. I’m still having more yucky days than not, but when I feel well, we’re busy trying to take advantage of autumn — my favorite season — by: ~Making multiple batches of popcorn balls. ~Visiting a pumpkin patch. ~Costume making. ~Baking some apples. The Homeschooling challenge
The Homeschooling challenge These days my routine, if I can even call it that, has drastically changed. Aside from the adjustment of adding baby number six to our midst, I am home-schooling the kids. Did I just say that? I have to re-read the last sentence to make sure it’s actually me home-schooling the kids and not a fictional character. Oh, but wait, as I look around and notice that my house is in a permanent state of disarray I know without the shadow of a doubt that yes, I am indeed home-
